Labor Secretary Elaine Chao says her department plans to enhance protection of employee rights for military veterans, National Guardsmen, and Reservists returning to civilian life from the Global War on Terror. Among Labor’s initiatives is a public service announcement campaign featuring Bob Dole, former Senator and World War II vet. Chao also signed an agreement marking the department’s support for its own military vet employees. She is the first non-defense Cabinet secretary to sign the agreement.
