The Pentagon apparently wants to energize its legislative affairs corps to become more proactive in its dealings with Congress, reports Megan Scully of Congress Daily. Robert Wilkie, the new assistant secretary for legislative affairs, told Scully in an interview that there is “no more important function” within DOD that getting the department’s “message out to the Hill.”
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
