Brits Oppose Mildenhall Housing Plan: The Air Force wants to construct an estimated 440 homes on the western edge of RAF Mildenhall in Britain, but it is running in to opposition to the project from locals, according to the BBC. The concerned citizens near Mildenhall cite the potential for increased traffic and a lack of local involvement. Property developers told the BBC that there would be enough affordable homes available for locals, since a provision exists in the agreement for 160 homes for civilians.
U.S. Southern Command recently announced its first lethal strike on a suspected narco-trafficking vessel in two months, and the first under a newly formed permanent counter-cartel task force. The U.S. is also reportedly planning to transfer MQ-9 drones to Colombia to bolster its counter-cartel efforts.
