Air Education and Training Command boss Gen. Bill Looney told an audience of some 2,000 people attending a two-day symposium in San Antonio that the “vast majority of airmen we train within the next year or two are going to be somewhere in harm’s way.” He wanted to reinforce the requirement to ensure those airmen have “the talent and skill they need to accomplish their mission in an absolutely world-class fashion.” The AETC-sponsored symposium, which concludes today, offered educators and trainers various informative sessions revolving around four primary topics: The Expeditionary Warfighter, Deciphering Culture, The Long War, and Accelerating Change. (AFA’s Alamo Chapter co-sponsored the event.)
The Space Force should take bold, decisive steps—and soon—to develop the capabilities and architecture needed to support more flexible, dynamic operations in orbit and counter Chinese aggression and technological progress, according to a new report from AFA’s Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.
