Retired Brig. Gen. Robin Olds, a fighter ace in World War II and MiG killer in the Vietnam War, died June 14 at age 84. West Point graduate Robin Olds, the son of Army Air Corps Maj. Gen. Robert Olds, shot down 12 enemy aircraft in World War II, during which he flew the P-38 and P-51. Flying an F-4, Olds shot down two MiG-17s and two MiG-21s in air action over North Vietnam.
