A Bronze Star has gone to A1C Kevin Ingerick from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, for his quick life-saving actions during a convoy mission in Iraq. While under enemy fire, Ingerick helped US forces kill six insurgents and pulled a driver from a burning vehicle, reports KTVB News Channel 7. He remarked during the ceremony that after the attack he felt he “should have been really scared, but you just don’t have time to think about it.”
The incoming head of the 7th Air Force will face an intense mission while relying on 4th-generation fighters to stave off looming threats from North Korea and China.
