Myers Returns to Alma Mater: Retired USAF Gen. Richard Myers, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will be going back to his alma mater, Kansas State University, to teach military history and leadership. KSU president Jon Wefald called Myers “one of [KSU’s] most distinguished graduates” and said his national security and international relations knowledge is “invaluable.” It’s a part time post, but Wefald said the former Chairman would “have a variety of duties.”
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
