Airlift Window Goes Up at Ramstein:
The historic stained glass window from the chapel at the now-shuttered Rhein-Main AB, Germany, now hangs in the passenger terminal at the new main European airlift hub—Ramstein AB, Germany. The eight-foot window commemorates US servicemembers who died during the 1948-49 Berlin Airlift. The Air Force plans to return Rhein-Main to the German government this December. (DR 09/30/05)
The Air Force plans to buy up to 11,200 copies of the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile and its anti-ship variant over the next five to seven years, a dramatic increase in production for the critical long-range cruise missiles
