Lt. Gen. John F. Regni is headed to the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., where, as superintendent, he will be expected to help turn around a school with more than its share of problems recently. If confirmed by the Senate, Regni, who currently is the commander of Air University at Maxwell AFB, Ala., would replace Lt. Gen. John W. Rosa Jr. Rosa decided to cut his tenure short, accepting, earlier this summer, the top job at The Citadel, his old alma-mater in Charleston, S.C. Rosa was brought in to help clean up a sexual assault and harassment scandal, then was faced with a second scandal—over religious proselytizing. Regni is an Academy graduate.
