USAF Units Take Environmental Awards

The Air Force has three winners among eight recipients of the just announced 2009 Secretary of Defense Environmental Awards. The Air Force winners are:

n Vandenberg AFB, Calif., received the installation cultural resources management award.

n The Environmental Management Division at Hill AFB, Utah, won for environmental quality at an industrial facility; Hill is host to the Ogden Air Logistics Center.

n At Columbus AFB, Miss., the 14th Civil Engineer Squadron Pollution Prevention Team won the team/individual award for pollution prevention.
