The new mayor-elect of Warner Robins, Ga., Chuck Shaheen, said one of his first tasks will be to get the Georgia Robins Aerospace Maintenance Partnership, known as G-RAMP, moving in 2010. A central focus of G-RAMP is ensuring a sound future for the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins AFB, Ga. According to a Dec. 3 TV13 report, Shaheen, who believes his community must take the lead and should engage other area communities, said, “I want to work with General Peyer [Maj. Gen. Polly Peyer] and make sure they understand our city is going to do whatever it can to continue to help Robins Air Force Base.”
