The School of Advanced Air and Space Studies at Maxwell AFB, Ala., invited a few friends to participate in its most recent Theater Campaign Warfare exercise, enlisting 35 officers from Navy and Army schools and a French officer attending SAASS. Scott Gorman, SAASS commandant, TCW is unlike other wargames at Maxwell because it doesn’t deal with hands-on planning, instead it focuses on the “heart of strategic thinking—how to prioritize problems and fix them.” (Maxwell report by Carl Bergquist)
