Northrop Gets Security Contract for SWA: Northrop Grumman has received a follow-on contract to continue providing integrated security services for US Air Force bases in Southwest Asia. Northrop says the contract is worth up to $80 million over three years and will cover the surveying, support staff, and installation of systems at bases in the US Central Command Air Forces area of responsibility.
The House of Representatives voted Nov. 12 to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, setting the stage for tens of thousands of defense civilians to return to work and guaranteeing troops will be paid in a few days’ time.
