Its three spires steadily rising, construction on the new Air Force Memorial continues toward an October completion date. Recently, Air Force Memorial Foundation President retired Maj. Gen. Edward Grillo Jr. guided some young airmen from Bolling AFB, D.C., through the construction site. One offered this comment: The memorial “pretty much rocks.”
A B-52 bomber from Minot Air Force Base, Mont., flew over the Caribbean Sea and near Venezuela on Nov. 24, according to open-source flight tracking data—the second time in four days such a mission has unfolded.
