irmen around the world have extended the holiday spirit, providing needed supplies, toys, and their time. The 55th annual Operation Christmas Drop—spearheaded by Andersen AFB, Guam with airlift assistance from Yokota AB, Japan—delivered 18.5 tons of supplies and gifts over a five-day period to islands in the Pacific. Air Force Reservists with the 419th Fighter Wing at Hill AFB, Utah, hosted a Christmas party for students with special needs at an area school, continuing an 18-year tradition.
The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
