Capt. Loree Filizer, acting director of operations for the 11th Intelligence Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla., received the Bronze Star for “actions leading to an airstrike” in June that killed a known enemy, according to Air Force Special Operations Command. At a Hurlburt ceremony, Filizer called the award a “really great honor,” but added that she was “being rewarded for the work that a lot of other people did.”
