The Pentagon recently named Misawa AB, Japan, as one of the five “best of the best” installations in DOD for 2005. The Commander in Chief’s Installation Excellence Award goes to facilities that provide excellent mission support using “resources available to them.”
Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach said the service must improve its readiness in his first public remarks as Air Force Chief of Staff, made during a ceremony marking his ascension to the service’s top job Nov. 18.
