It didn’t take the media long to start yapping at President Bush’s nominee to become the next Secretary of the Air Force, Michael W. Wynne. Most outlets rushed to report that Wynne, who has been a senior Pentagon official for the past four years, had a role in the failed Air Force tanker lease proposal and had been singled out by the Pentagon IG for “responsibility,” if not outright blame. As our John Tirpak pointed out in this story, the case against Wynne and three other defense officials was eye-wateringly weak.
The National Reconnaissance Office is seeing “great output” from its constellation of proliferated low Earth orbit satellites and is working with the Space Force and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to operationalize the capability, according to Deputy Director Maj. Gen. Chris Povak.
