The bipartisan Iraq Study Group publicly released its report as promised Wednesday, and the bottom line is: “There is no magic formula to solve the problems of Iraq. However, there are actions that can be taken to improve the situation.” In its 160-page report, the ISG calls the situation “grave and deteriorating” says there must be “new and enhanced diplomatic and political efforts in Iraq and the region … and a change in the primary mission of US forces in Iraq.”
Boeing received a $2.47 billion Air Force contract Nov. 25 for 15 more KC-46s, bringing to 183 the number of Pegasus tankers on contract to all customers, foreign and domestic. The new contract—for Lot 12 of the initially planned KC-46 buy—is to be completed by 2029.
