AMC Is Hauling in Helicopters and More: Air Mobility Command officials say command airlifters will be transporting 24 Army CH-47 Chinook helicopters to aid relief efforts in Pakistan. Stateside airlifters already have flown in contingency response airmen to set up bare-base airfield operations and some 200,000 pounds of supplies and equipment.
Air Mobility Command has not ruled out a family of systems strategy for the service’s Next-Generation Air Refueling System.
