The Air Force has assigned Lt. Gen. Clyde Moore to command the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, announced the Defense Department on Wednesday. Air Force Materiel Command created the center last fall as part of the command-wide reorganization that saw it consolidate functions from 12 centers to five. AFLCMC oversees the command’s acquisition mission. Moore has been serving since October as AFMC vice commander.
When Airmen eject, the mission is clear: America leaves no warrior behind. Airmen are trained to survive, evade, resist, and escape the enemy, and everyone from ground crew to rescue personnel and commanders are committed to doing everything necessary—and possible—to bring downed Airmen home.
