RAF Lakenheath, Britain, home to the 48th Fighter Wing, recently opened the first national testing center in that nation, allowing airmen to continue their education while deployed there. The center, which is administered by the University of Maryland University College, offers a variety of college-level online tests in subjects ranging from English to mathematics to social sciences, foreign languages, business, and science. “It’s really nice to be able to further your education while overseas,” said A1C Thomas Williams, equipment maintenance crewmember with Lakenheath’s 48th Munitions Squadron. Airman 1st Class Marcus White-Allen concocted a story to cover up that he fired his M18 9mm pistol into Airman Braden Lovan’s chest, killing him on July 20, two Airmen from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo., testified during separate courts martial proceedings on Oct. 30-31.
