An F-16 ran off the runway at Kunsan AB, South Korea, on Dec. 3, according to a base release. The pilot sustained no injuries and was safe, said officials with the base’s 8th Fighter Wing. They said they would release more details as they became available. The Air Force will investigate the incident to determine the cause, they said. Back in March, an F-16 assigned to Osan Air Base experienced engine failure and crashed northeast of Kunsan. The pilot escaped injury in that incident as well.
An important U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS command and control plane was among the aircraft damaged in a March 27 Iranian missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, people familiar with the matter told Air & Space Forces Magazine.
