Rudy Moreno, a member of the 355th Fighter Wing at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., received an Army Bronze Star Medal for his leadership actions during convoy operations throughout Iraq while he was deployed to work with the US Army at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. The Air Force has tapped sites in Oregon to build its first two new Over-the-Horizon Radars, capable of detecting inbound missile threats from up to 4,000 nautical miles away. The service is hoping to start construction by the end of 2028.
