New York City played host to the first Salute Our Heroes Veterans Job Fair and Career Expo, bringing some 7,000 military veterans together with 87 private sector, government, and union employers. Hosting the event was the New York Times, NYC Education Department, ESPN, General Motors, Home Depot, MacTools, Hire Disability Solutions, and Hire Vets First. Sponsors hope to make the fair an annual event and expect the idea to catch fire across the nation.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design the Air Force said.
