The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., selected General Dynamics for a $9.6 million effort to implement and support a collaborative knowledge management intranet (in-house Internet) system and train 6,000 people to use it. And, the system—called Livelink Knowledge Management System—must be secure. GD is to complete the work by 2011.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
