At Vandy, a Reagan Bust:
As we reported Monday, there is now at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., the Ronald W. Reagan Missile Defense Site, comprising four silos, two of which house interceptor missiles as part of the nation’s ballistic missile defense umbrella and two that will serve primarily as test facilities. During a ceremony, Air Force officials also unveiled a bust of the former President, who championed efforts to introduce missile defense.
The Space Force’s small size has limited its capacity to consider what role it will play in future operations on and around the moon. That needs to change, according to Vice Chief of Operations Gen. Shawn Bratton.
