Airmen performed an Air Force Review on April 14 at the new Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va. Hosted by Maj. Gen. Robert Smolen, commander of the Air Force District of Washington, the event marked the return of a 300-year-old military tradition stemming from the use of drummers to call English troops from their billets in towns and villages around a battlefield, reports SSgt. The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
