Air Force Reserve Command has installed Maj. Gen. Richard C. Collins as head of 10th Air Force, headquartered at NAS JRB Fort Worth. Collins replaces Maj. Gen. Allan R. Poulin, who has become AFRC vice commander. Poulin, in turn, replaces Maj. Gen. David E. Tanzi, who retires next month.
The Air Force is launching an effort to develop a new stand-off missile with a range of 1,000 nautical miles, or 1,150 miles, that would eventually be used for both air-to-air and air-to-surface missions.
