Army leaders have decided to cut down on the number of service uniforms that its soldiers wear and opted to keep the dress dark blue one, dumping the green and white suits. Soldiers who already own the blue uniform are a step ahead, but the Army plans to improve the fabric and fit before it begins to issue it to the troops in 2009. The Army has set 2011 as the mandatory “possession” date but has deferred setting a last wear date on the present green service uniform.
Pentagon leaders insist they have a sufficient stockpile of munitions to continue strikes on Iran amid reports that the U.S. military’s supply of key weapons and interceptors has been diminished in the first four days of conflict.
