USAF recently tapped for 2006-07 advanced education coursework more than 1,100 military and civilian personnel out of some 3,900 nominated by their senior raters. Working within the service’s Force Development program, development teams reviewed the candidates and recommended courses of study to select and rank order primary and alternate candidates. There is a new entrant in the highly competitive field of collaborative combat aircraft—semi-autonomous drones meant to fly alongside manned combat aircraft. Northrop Grumman unveiled its new Project Talon aircraft to a small group of reporters at the facilities of its subsidiary Scaled Composites.
