There is a move afoot by House Republicans to bring to the House floor open debate over operations in Iraq, reports the Chicago Tribune. Reporter Jill Zuckman quotes House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) as saying that the House floor is the right forum for debate about “serious issues of the day” over which members and others “have concerns.” He also called it an opportunity to showcase good news from Iraq.
The nominee to become the next head of U.S. Strategic Command, Vice Adm. Richard Correll, endorsed the production of more than 100 B-21 bombers, echoing his predecessor Gen. Anthony Cotton's view.
