Air Force Reserve Command plans to inactivate six units this year, eliminating 12 full-time and 543 part-time traditional Reservists positions as of Nov. 30. The units are: 604th Medical Squadron (MDS), Fairchild AFB, Wash.; 704th MDS, Kirtland AFB, N.M.; 722nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Ft. Hamilton, N.Y.; 84th Aerial Port Squadron (APS), Greenville, S.C.; 92nd APS, Wyoming City, Pa.; and Det. 1, 911th Civil Engineer Squadron, Morgantown, W.Va. Earlier this year, AFRC also announced plans to cut about 5,000 individual mobilization augmentees, as part of its share of the overall USAF personnel drawdown. AFRC has briefed relevant Congressional delegations.
