The Air Force has awarded a Bronze Star to Capt. Marco Tassone with the 78th Security Forces Squadron at Robins AFB, Ga., for his service in Afghanistan. The Macon Telegraph reports that Tassone served as plans and policies officer at the coalition detention facility at Bagram Air Base.
Brig. Gen. Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, the last surviving triple ace from World War II, was honored one last time by the nation's top Airmen when he was buried here with full military honors March 30.
