Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco plans to ask the state legislature to grant the $50 million Bossier City officials believe they need to entice the Air Force to locate its new Cyber Command in Louisiana, reports the Shreveport Times. The money would go toward development of an Innovation Business Park near Barksdale AFB, La. The Bossier folks already have another $50 million lined up.
The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
