The Air Force Enlisted Heritage Hall has inducted Maj. Gen. Thomas Deppe to its Wall of Achievers. The wall features more than 140 former enlisted members who became celebrities or reached general officer rank. Deppe started his 41-year career as an enlisted man, spending 11 years in enlisted status before receiving a commission through Officer Training School. Ashley Wright reports that Deppe, who is vice commander at Air Force Space Command, currently is the longest serving airman in the force.
Lockheed Martin projects more than a billion dollars of losses on a classified program, but company officials said April 23 they are confident it will turn profitable by 2028 and become a "franchise" system in the U.S. military.
