The Air Force Enlisted Heritage Hall has inducted Maj. Gen. Thomas Deppe to its Wall of Achievers. The wall features more than 140 former enlisted members who became celebrities or reached general officer rank. Deppe started his 41-year career as an enlisted man, spending 11 years in enlisted status before receiving a commission through Officer Training School. Ashley Wright reports that Deppe, who is vice commander at Air Force Space Command, currently is the longest serving airman in the force.
The Space Force on April 15 released two highly anticipated future-casting documents that describe what the service expects the space environment will look like in the year 2040 and lay out the force structure it thinks it will need to operate in that environment.
