Gen. Ronald E. Keys, head of Air Combat Command, voiced his views recently, saying that he has five focus areas: people, expeditionary operations, recapitalization, organization, and transformation. Key to his plan for recapitalization, he says, is creating “fiscal headroom.” To do that he wants ACC airmen to “understand what we can stop doing—what we can just walk away from.”
When Airmen eject, the mission is clear: America leaves no warrior behind. Airmen are trained to survive, evade, resist, and escape the enemy, and everyone from ground crew to rescue personnel and commanders are committed to doing everything necessary—and possible—to bring downed Airmen home.
