The Air Force announced Sunday that three explosive ordnance disposal airmen deployed to Sather AB, Iraq, had been killed by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. Another airman was injured in the blast. USAF is withholding names pending notification of next of kin.
The Air Force plans to add external weapons pylons on the B-1B bomber, both to increase the number of aircraft that can test hypersonic missiles and expand the Lancer’s loadout as USAF transitions to the B-21 bomber.
