Hobbins OK’d for USAFE

The Senate confirmed the promotion of Lt. Gen. William T. Hobbins to four-star rank and command of US Air Forces Europe. (DR, 09/27/05) Hobbins will replace Gen. Robert H. Foglesong, who confirmed earlier this year that he plans to retire. (DR, 10/10/05) The Air Force has not made any official announcement regarding Foglesong’s departure, however.
