Officials at Fairchild AFB, Wash., recently hosted the Air Force’s first Single Airmen’s Summit, according to a Dec. 15 release. The summit presented an opportunity for single airmen to devise solutions to common problems that range from safety and leisure activities to personal growth and work and relationship concerns. “I’m sure there were airmen in the room who knew one third of what was available and left there with the whole picture,” said CMSgt. David Nordel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing command chief master sergeant. Eddie Steetle, with the 92nd Force Support Squadron, noted that while the event fostered new ideas and broadcast already available resources, it also enabled the airmen to establish a sense of community with their peers.
