Active Duty airmen of the 50th Airlift Squadron and Air Force Reservists of 22nd Air Force’s Det. 1 conducted their first dedicated training sorties together as they prepare to operate combat-coded C-130Hs at Little Rock AFB, Ark., under a new association. “This is one of the first unit training assembly weekends that we are flying alongside our future associate partners,” said Lt. Col. Joseph Janik, 22nd AF operations commander, of the mid December training weekend, in Little Rock’s Jan. 10 release. The Reservists are shifting from supporting Little Rock’s C-130 training schoolhouse to working with the 50th AS’ airmen, who already fly combat-coded C-130s. The transition began in October and is slated for completion this October, states the release. “Working together is going very well,” said Lt. Col.
