The remaining 37 airmen from Yokota AB, Japan, who had deployed to Utapao, Thailand, to support the delivery of relief supplies into Myanmar, have returned to their home base. Yokota C-130 transports from the 374 Airlift Wing, operating from Utapao, ferried relief supplies, including bottled water, mosquito netting, and hygiene kits, into Myanmar starting May 12, 10 days after a powerful cyclone ravaged the Asian nation. The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
