Air Force, Raytheon Complete OCX Baseline Review

Raytheon has announced that it has completed the integrated baseline review with the Air Force for the Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment, known as OCX. It is the next-generation ground control system for the GPS satellite constellation. “Successful completion of the integrated baseline review is the first step in the team’s commitment to delivering the required capability on cost and on schedule,” said Bob Canty, Raytheon vice president and program manager. The OCX system will incorporate anti-jam capabilities and improved security, accuracy, and reliability features for the constellation of precision navigation and timing satellites. Raytheon won the OCX contract back in February. Its industry team includes Boeing and ITT.
