Lockheed Martin received a $113 million contract from the Air Force to supply aircrew-training devices for the HH-60G rescue helicopter, announced the company on Tuesday. Under the contract’s terms, the company will deliver eight HH-60G Pave Hawk simulators, spares, and logistics support as part of the Pave Hawk Equivalent Distributive Repeatable Operative Simulators trainer program, states the Oct. 29 release. The simulators, which the Air Force is embedding with its HH-60G squadrons, will help aircrews prepare for personnel recovery missions, including combat search and rescue action in diverse environments, states the release. “PEDROS simulators will provide affordable, on-site training options to keep aircrews certified and aircraft available for missions,” said Vic Torla, the company’s business development director for training solutions.
