Army Lt. Gen. Steven Blum, head of the National Guard Bureau, received word Jan. 26 that the Senate confirmed his nomination as chief for an additional two years. As of April 2007, Blum will have served as bureau chief for four years.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
