The National Museum of the US Air Force has put the C-141 known as the “Hanoi Taxi” on public display in the museum’s outdoor airpark. The Air Force Reserve Command’s 445th Airlift Wing, the last to fly the famed aircraft, turned it over to the museum in May.
As Air Force leaders consider concepts of operations for Collaborative Combat Aircraft, sustainment in the field—and easing that support by using standard parts and limiting variants—should be a key consideration, according to a new study from AFA's Mitchell Institute of Aerospace Studies.
