Russia’s Krunichev Space Research and Development Center announced Wednesday the end of the manufacturing line for the SS-19 ICBM, according to the Interfax news agency. “We do not have the manufacturing equipment nor can we produce them under contract. We can only dispose of them,” said General Director Alexander Medvedev.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
