Naval aviators give credit where credit is due. In the latest issue of Balad’s Red Tail Flyer, Navy Lt. Bryan Sory offered his appreciation for USAF air traffic controllers in Iraq, writing: “I’ve flown under their control many times and each time came away impressed by their level of professionalism and dedication. … Were it not for their selfless service, my job, and those of countess other aviators, would be difficult if not impossible.”
The Air Force is launching an effort to develop a new stand-off missile with a range of 1,000 nautical miles, or 1,150 miles, that would eventually be used for both air-to-air and air-to-surface missions.
