Air Mobility Command’s Phoenix Stripe program attracted 46 junior NCOs and civilians from across the Air Force to Scott AFB, Ill., to take part in the highly selective professional development program that offers an overview of AMC operations. This year’s program included airmen from other commands, Scott civilian employees, and Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command airmen.
Airmen and Guardians in the Active and Reserve component, as well as civilian employees, in “mission critical and high-risk populations” are now required to receive influenza vaccinations annually to “preserve force readiness,” according to a recent Department of the Air Force memo.
