Wounded troops will soon be receiving top notch treatment and recovering in a new $50 million physical rehabilitation center set to open Jan. 29 at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Tex. In addition, there will be two new Fisher Houses; both endeavors are the result of a partnership between the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which offers assistance to military personnel severely wounded in the line of duty and their families, and the Fisher House Foundation, which provides free housing to the families.
RTX’s Raytheon unit was able to “significantly” extend the range of the AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile using mostly software changes in experimental tests last year, expanding the reach and lethality of the standard U.S. dogfighting weapon, company officials said Sept. 15.
